Has any waitlist decisions been released yet?
“Yes, uh we’re slowly starting to release them however they’re like on a rolling basis so it’s possible that you just haven’t heard from us yet.”
Has Wharton released any waitlist decisions yet?
“Uhh, I don’t think it’s based off of school, it’s just based off of the student umm we don’t release base on the individual school.”
Will there be more waitlist decisions released?
“Uhh I think we’re still in the process so yes. We’re umm waitlist decisions are released on a rolling basis.”
Was like a big deal Ave already released or is it like still rolling out?
“Uhh were still working on it”
So like a mixture of schools get released at a time and not like individual schools?
“Yes, it based off like a students individual application. It’s not like oh Wharton releases a batch umm first it’s a separate.”
When will more waitlist decisions be released?
“That umm I’m not sure. It’s just on a rolling basis.”
When will the waitlist be closed off?
“Umm when we do decide umm when all the seats are filled umm we will release a email to all the students but in the mean time there’s nothing that you can do on your end just keep checking your email.”
So it would be closed off this week or like very soon?
“Uh yes that entirely cause our waitlist is also base off like the waitlist students of what they decide to accept their spots to like if they don’t decide to accept our spot, that spot opens up again so it really just is dependent so i would really be able to tell you the timeline on anything.”
It sounds to me that more decisions will be coming out and they sort of have to come out (at least a few) since not every person offered a spot from the first wave yesterday will accept (at least that’s what I believe) so there has to be a few more spots.
I can also confirm that my friend who was accepted into CAS declined her waitlist offer. She will be attending the college she already committed to. The waitlist process is definitely not over!
I really wonder though if anyone would give up Wharton for another school (other than FA needs) since it’s one of the top business schools (if not the top).
This is the exact same situation I would hypothetically be dealing with if I got off Wharton. Any idea of the turnaround time they give you for the decision anyone?
Sorry if I sounded extreme, I was talking kind of just in my shoes since I haven’t committed to another school so I didn’t really put attention and time (deposits) in for another school. But it makes sense that people will give up Wharton for another school considering that they’ve been planning for it for weeks now.
