Penn releases a common data set each year here Common Data Set | Penn Institutional Research & Analysis. You calculate the yield rates based on the number of acceptances since it’s a known class size of about 2400. Penn also has a dean’s blog where information is released and articles are also a good source of information.
threads so dead
does anyones portal still say “missing items, you are missing at least one required item…” I have already sent them my official act score and on the application it doesn’t tell me what I’m missing; just generic stuff about portfolios and school docs. Does anyone portal still say under the actual decision, MIssing items, you are missing at least one required item.
nope - mine doesn’t say anything at all
it just ends at, Welcome to your pen portal?
yessir, nothing under that
should i be worried? I dont know what could be “missing”?
do you remember ever seeing your checklist before they suppressed it pre-Ivy Day?? maybe you remember that there was some document you had to send in?
Why don’t you contact the admissions? They will check it for you.
no i dont, and if I was missing something, wouldn’t I have been flat out rejected, instead of waitlisted?
@bruv UPenn has a financial aid form that needs to be submitted in addition to sending the FAFSA and CSS. My DD realized only late that she missed to submit that form. Please check if you had submitted that form.
i have submitted that information already. I am just curious as to what Im missing and even if I’m missing something, shouldn’t i have been rejected instead of waitlisted?
They won’t reject an application if the missing document is not critical to their selection process. For example, missing documents related to financial aid will not impact your selection. As anaray mentioned, I think it is best to call/email admissions to find out what is missing.
I strongly suggest you to contact admissions office, don’t miss the chance of a possible acceptance due to a missing document.
Please let us know about the results.
Where does it say that?
it says it directly under my admissions decision on the portal. I am wondering what is actually missing
Tomorrow is decision day which means that our decisions might be coming out anytime, please post any updates that you know of! We got this!
1st call to admissions after Commitment Day:
They said that they are still evaluating the class, waitlist decisions will be made on a rolling basis through May and June, possibly July. I wasn’t able to get any information on the current class size or anything else.
well at least we can safely assume that they will be giving out some waitlist decisions… thank god for that
