UPenn ED Class of 2022 Discussion

same business151 (well, I only know 2 people who applied ED, one who submitted their app after me, and they’ve both been contacted) …

@business151 @power33 No, it’s random based on availability. Don’t sweat it. I was the only one from my hs not to get an interview, yet I was the only one who got into Penn.

What is wharton’s average new sat

@nillupa the individual schools within Penn do not publish separate class statistics. Look at the overall new SAT scores for Penn and that should give you a very good idea if you are competitive.

I saw other people’s interview lasted 1.5 hours. Mine only last 30 min. Should I be worried???

The upenn new sat average is 1450, bit low eh?

If its 1450, i wonder if wharton is about the same

@sleepisamyth Depends… Some interviewers will only ask a couple questions and be on their way whereas others turn it more into a conversation. Also depends on whether you answered the questions cut and dry or whether you also tried to make it into a conversation.

24 days to decision time. I am so nervous… what are you guys doing to distract yourselves?

Guys, to what extent would terrible 9th-grade marks affect my chances of admissions? I went from a 1.28/4 in the 9th to a 4.04/4 in the 10th, to a 4.75/5 (41/45 IB predicted) in the 11th. Will my trend be accounted for?

P.S: I have really good ec’s, recs, essays, SATII scores, and a pretty decent/good SAT I score: 1500

@vakilmohit doing hw and playing tennis

Me too!!! I am literally counting down to the decision release date. I guess my way to distract is just write more other college essays. Prepare for reactions of all three possible results. Try to deceive myself I will be equally happy somewhere else as

@Yccccccc california

@heidilol Haha that’s a good way to let some stress out.

Do we know of the definite decision release date yet?

@nillupa The new SAT average for Penn is not 1450. That is the 25% percentile. The average is around 1510 or so. Wharton should also be more or less around that.

Also is 1540 good for wharton? Or is that too low for me?

Williams is only like 1440, and their old sat average was like 2250

@nillupa can you provide a link to the Williams data?
