I think there are a few sites that do this, like Naviance and Admitsee, but i guess its true that these sites arent very accesible, since naviance is provided by schools anf Admitsee makes you pay money to see profiles. So hey, good luck:) sounds like a cool website

Just offered my interview. I live in a sizable metro and it’s with someone from half way across the country

Me too! From Los Angeles
@pennplz hey haha, hope to see you there
Do we think the decisions are more likely to come out on the 8th or the 15th?
@trakk123 Based on previous years, I think 8th is most likely, but this year they extended the date for those impacted by the hurricanes and they got 10% more applicants. Based on these new factors, I would not be surprised if they released them on the 15th.
@kassh4 At the same time, I’ve heard that they’ve adopted a new, much more efficient approach to reading applications. So the 8th is still viable.
@Burrito12 do you know the specifics of that approach?
@nohior Penn has been using this “new approach” for a few years now, so it’s not really new. Basically, two admissions officers read the application at the same time in the office and discuss it. If the officers can’t come to a consensus the application is sent to a bigger committee. If the officers agree on a decision, that’s the decision the applicant will receive. This is “revolutionary” in a sense that officers used to read applications alone at home during free time.
@ayakobi26 Yes… interestingly too, if the two readers don’t think someone is a good fit they will get one more read from another admissions officer. Someone will only be denied if that third reader also doesn’t see the applicant as a good Penn student. So everyone will get seen by at least three admissions officers.
@swanfactor that doesn’t sound more “efficient”, that sounds like it would take longer haha
@rosaliefontaine oh for sure haha, it just means you have more of a chance/review. With the record number of apps + this new approach I wouldn’t be surprised if we had to wait until the 15th.
