<p>i love the university of pennsylvania, and if i got accepted im pretty sure id die of happiness.. and after the emts brought me back, id dance in the streets. but be honest please, its a dream school &im trying to be realistic.</p>

<p>ranked 1/275
4.0 uw GPA
30 on ACT (ik its not ideal but toughsauce)
taking sat 2s in october</p>

<p>APs:
us history: 4
gov: 5
lang&comp: 5
microeconomics: pending
ap literature: pending
european history: pending</p>

<p>basically i took the most rigorous english and social studies courses - all aps and honors
just regular math/science otherwise
always had a full and rigorous course load</p>

<p>4 years spanish
french 2
german 1</p>

<p>extra curriculars:</p>

<p>principle chair wind ensemble
marching band
drum major
pep band
jazz band
two show bands
solo&ensemble state
attended multiple summer jazz camps!</p>

<p>trumpeter for Octoberfest ceremonies </p>

<p>track(1year nothing special)

spanish club
philosophy club (founder hopefully come fall..)
academic challenge team</p>

<p>american legion auxillary member
representative of my school at Girls State (state wide mock government convention )</p>

<p>i think my recommendations will be great.. and i plan on being passionate with a capital P in my essays </p>

<p>ACT is pretty weak, not really seeing anything in ECs try posting in Upenn thread</p>

and im s section leader in marching band…
and im drum major (leader of the band) this year…
and i was nominated/sent to girls state.</p>

<p>Just make sure on your SAT II test land well above in the 700’s and ACT needs to be 32+ like stated above. Also your EC activities are not really focused.</p>

<p>Music will help. Send in an arts supplement. What instrument? If its a rarer one that they need it helps more than flute, piano, violin etc.</p>

<p>is it bad that all my ap’s and honors (besides stats and bio) are NOT in math an science? i only super applied myself to the things i love; english history social studies and music.
will this fact detract much from my resume?</p>
