i'm a freshmen stern right now and I am thinking about transfering to wharton

high school gpa: 4.4//3.92
college 1st semester gpa: 3.85 in average classes
act: 31
did not take sat
ec's in college: work-study, stern business law club, intramural volleyball

i'll get a decent rec from my professor and my essays will be okay since I'm not the best of writers

Not good. If you could not have gotten in as a freshmen don't expect to get in with one term. Low ACT for Wharton and a 3.8 from average Stern classes, no new hook--they'll take internal transfers first.

yea, you have to have a really exceptional hook to get past wharton's, what, 2% or so (?) acceptance rate...your gpa is there, but so are most of the applicants that they most often reject....work on distinguishing yourself and apply for junior year, stern has some great opportunities for you to do so
