** If you read through everything I sincerely applaud you and I dearly treasure your feedback and help. Thanks again.

Is there anything I should improve upon or do to better my chances?

You are well on your way to putting together the kind of application that gets into the top schools. I think what would improve your chances is focus. While you have been involved in an incredible (almost too incredible) number of sports and clubs, it is difficult to get a sense of what you are really about when the list is that broad. Let’s try something - write your list of EC’s and sports again, but limit the total number to 5. When you look at that list, it will help you determine your “story.” Once you have narrowed your interests, you can pick your goals for this year (write a book, create a website - too much and all over the place). I think you need to develop your personal narrative. It is a great idea at the beginning of junior year to see where the holes are in your application, but you need to know what story you are trying to tell first.
As you may have heard, the colleges are less interested in someone who is ok at a lot of things, and more interested in knowing what specifically you will contribute to their campus.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate the advice! I will make the corrections that you suggested. Thanks again!

You sound like a typical premed.

How would you publish the kind of book you want to write? What kind of website would you create? How often would you expect to add to it?

Do you know that any premed activities you do in high school (hospital job, EMT, internship) can’t go on a med school application unless you continue them in college?

The book publishing I didn’t think much about because I haven’t finished the book yet, the website idea is currently changing so I’m not sure yet what it will be about, but it will promote me in some way. I would have some sort of blog about personal experience and advice most likely added in.

I am taking courses in January to get my EMT certification and take continuation classes this coming summer. I am going to volunteer at a hospital during the spring as well. I was planning on getting a hospital job this summer also. I also submitted an application to intern with an internationally recognized surgeon, but I sent it in recently so I don’t expect a reply soon.

And yes, premed is the course of study I would like to pursue!

My dawg id say u be straight fo gettin into any schoo u want to my man. You get dem good grades and u do alot of clubs and stuff like dat so u straight to get in anywhere man.

I think you need more EC’s

definitely not enough ECs. jk. you have decent chances.

Thank you to all who replied, I greatly appreciate it! More advice is always welcome!

You have great chance but I am not getting who YOU are. Are you dedicated to sports, chess, humanities (Israel). Pick a focus and be yourself and not not other people wants you to think. I know because I am a senior myself. I have done stuff like yours and trust me you can only pick 6-10 things in that list. Dedicate yourself to things that you want to study. My theme is medicine/science. Pick Yours!

Thank You again! It seems to be a common problem that I have is being too general. And I need to find “who I am”, sounds cheezy and philosophical, but its what I have to do. My ECs and Accomplishments don’t exactly fit the premed mold (I don’t think so), but I really want to go premed. Any tips on how to organize/what to pick?!

Bumping this

Appreciate people chancing me!

Welcoming any advice that I can get?!

Your asking whether or not you can get in. Unfortunately, I can’t tell you if you are definitely going to get in or not. However, I can say that if you were to apply, then you would have some chance of getting in to all of those schools. Thus, I am simply stating you should take the chance and apply to all the schools listed above.

Thank you, I am certain to apply to all of those schools, but then there is another problem… ED sometimes gives a person a better chance of getting into a school… should I apply ED to any of these to increase my chances? And which one?

this is a masterpiece.

Aim for only the best mayte…

I’m not sure what you mean by that, but I thank you for your response. More help is always welcome!

Haha just gotta say that I’ve never heard of a school having its own table tennis team. You could probably write a really unique essay about that. I can’t really offer any advice different from what other people have said, just find some sort of focus with your EC’s.
