UPitt vs. BU

I’ve recently been accepted into both the University of Pittsburgh and Boston University. BU was one of my top choices while UPitt was more of an “on the whim” decision and got in. I looked more into Pitt and think I would like it but I’m conflicted on where I should go!
For a bit of background information, I’m a Korean-American from New York and have grown up with a ton of diversity most of my life, which is why I was hesitant when I saw such a low percentage of any minorities at Pitt. I wasn’t sure if that would completely change my college experience.
I would be a communications major at both schools and received a decent amount of financial aid from both (a bit more from Pitt than BU, but my family is willing to disregard cost as a factor.)

I was hoping for some insight on both schools and how they compare
Thanks!

Visit each school. These are pretty comparable, but see which school you would rather attend. If diversity is important to you, I would note that Pittsburgh is probably a more diverse city than Boston, albeit a smaller city. Not sure about the schools themselves.

Actually Pittsburgh is less diverse city than Boston, and BU also more diverse. BU Communications program has an excellent reputation, for what that is worth but UPitt has a much more cohesive student body and urban campus. understand

Did you apply BU in the ED round? If so, it’ll be difficult to get out of that obligation.

If BU was already one of your top choices, and it’s affordable to you, and you already have one reservation about Pitt - minor, perhaps, but still - then I think you should go to BU.
