uploading documents to common app

when the supplements/common app ask for documents to be uploaded, how should the document be formatted? obviously times new roman, 12 pt. but single-spaced? double? should my name be at the top? social security number? school? the date? should i include the prompt? HELP.

Take a look at the web sites of the schools you are applying to. Many have requests as to what they want.

Ultimately, it’s up to you how you format your supplements-- the school isn’t going to accept/reject you based on your formatting (unless it’s really ridiculous!) The common app automatically puts your name and common app # on top of everything you upload, so you don’t have to put it there again.

I would recommend putting the prompt on there. It’s up to you whether you single or double space, and the rest of the info (SSN, date, school, etc) is also up to you. Just be consistent throughout your application.
