Upper Division Units to Graduate

What are the number of units required for all majors in College of Letters and Science (or whatever its called) to attain a bachelor's? I think its 60 but i might be mistaken. Out of these units are there any that must be taken outside of the major's breadth? Thanx

mak 2675,

you are correct. you must take at least 60 UD units to graduate from L&S. if i'm not mistaken the only requirements for the UD units are those of your major. if you have "leftover" UD units, you can pretty much take whatever UD elective class you want to reach 60 (in or outside your major department.)

for example, i have around 52 UD units required in my major however, to fullfill those other 8, i participated in CityLab for unit credit and i am now taking a random Mus His class. if i really wanted to, i could've taken a few more chem and biochem electives...
