The Stanford Art Supplement sheet says:

"To best demonstrate your talent, it is recommended that portfolios focus in one particular medium (drawings and paintings can be submitted together.)"

Does this mean that it's NOT recommended have multiple media such as sculpture and drawings and painting?

Or does it mean that it's NOT recommended to have multiple media within the visual arts realm, such as having oils and pastels and watercolors and graphites all in one portfolio?

Also, we have all day 12/1 to finish our commonapp and supplement, right?

i think you get the choice to submit two portfolios of the same medium of your choice from the categories of 2d design, drawing, and sculpture.

So it’s not bad that I have graphite, charcoal, pastel, acrylic, & oil in my portfolio?

not if ur prolific at all of them no…

just think of it like
being really good at a bunch of stuff is better than being really good at one thing
but sucking at just one thing is better than sucking at a bunch of stuff

“Kuz ive been chasing after tomorrowww
for as long as i can rembemberrrr
if there’s a light at the end of the tunnelllll
then ill be chasing it foreverrrrrrrr…”

-Digital Summer, cause and Effect, Chasing Tomorrow

@Nitro Hawk, OMG I think that song is wonderful also. I’ve never met anyone else who knows it.

Though I normally listen to music that sounds happy.
