Urgent! Help with admission!

Hi.
I am an international student living in Peru and I applied to 7 universities with the Fulbright asociation in Lima.
As of today I have only received results from only 3 schools! One of them offered me a great finantial aid and I am seriously considering to accept it.
My top school was University of Richmond but I still have no results about my admission decision. I have written countless times to my counselor at Fulbright and she tells me that she has not recieved any information from that university. She even forwarded me an email she sent to someone at the US from the Institute of International Education asking aboout other universities response. He replied that he didn't have anything but when something new arrives he will send it.
Richmond sent admissions desicions to all aplicants on April 1st, and it has been three weeks since that! There is the option that I was not admitted but My SAT scores were very good, especially my subject SATs, and Richmond even contacted my school director to tell me to submit more papers about my finantial information as I was one of their strongest candidates (they said that)!
Last week I wrote directly to the admissions department and the international admissions department at Richmond asking about my situation, but still have no response from them.
There are also two more universities which I have not heard anything from. They are far less selective than Richmond and I also don't believe that I did not get in.

The deadline for answering the school that offered me a great finantial aid is May 1st, so I really don't know what to do as I want to hear from Richmond first, even if they tell me I did not get in. I have tried by all means possible to get information but I have not been succesful with it.
Should I wait for another week?

Any comment will be much appreciated

For the schools you have not heard from: have you received other communication from them, such as acknowledgement of receipt of your application, whether you had any outstanding (as in not-submitted) application requirements, etc.? For the schools you have heard from, has it been via email or paper mail?

I wonder if they could be sending you messages that you are not receiving - for example, in your email spam box.

I am not familiar with how applying through the Fulbright association in Lima works, so that may have added some complications to the process. Do the schools reply to them, and then the association must forward messages on to you?

It is very unusual that you have not heard anything.

Well… the email that appears in all my applications is the email from Fulbright. In all the decission and FA packages I have received, the universities replied directly to Fulbright/IIE and then they sent me an email informing me about their offers.

Richmond is a especial case. A few months ago the IIE wrote to me telling me to create an account in the Richmond’s admission profile to chek my applciation status. Everything was alright and it appeared that Richmond had received all my information (SATs, common application, supplement, etc). Then, a month ago Richmond contacted my school director asking him to tell me to submit the CSS profile for my finantial aid application. The woman at Richmond even told him that I was “one of their strongest candidates to receive finantial aid”.

What I mean is that it is clear that Richmond received my application, there was no problem with that. Maybe I was not admitted, or maybe I did, but the problem is that I do not know nothing about their decision! Fulbright tells me they have not received any information and when I wrote directly to Richmond Admission and International Admission office I have received no response!

I have also cheked my spam box but there is nothing there. It is very unlikely that Richmond and the other two universities have my eprsonal email as I never wrote it down in the application (as I said, it only appears the Fulbright/IIE email).

I really do not know what to expect :(

I wrote (again) to my counselor at Richmond. She tells me she will ask one more time if there is anything new. At this rate I will never hear from Richmond or the others, neither good or bad news =(

Try writting to Richmond again. Maybe if you explain them your situation (what you ahve wrote in this thread) they amy get you your decision. Good luck!

You should stop writing the schools and instead call the admissions office. Even if you are rejected, you will receive a rejection letter. Because you have received nothing there is probably a mail issue.

Get on the phone with the admissions office at Richmond and see what’s up.

Good luck

Yes, you should call and you’ll be given the answer.
