Hi everybody. I was recently admitted as a transfer student to cornell, but there were some issues with my financial aid. Months ago I looked at my to-do list which included the FAFSA, IDOC etc. I had already completed them in January so I thought they would eventually be checked off. Now months later they are still there. I’ve had issues before with colleges receiving documents because some have a II at the end and others don’t. I will call the office tomorrow, but I was wondering if this would affect my financial aid at all? I had all my documents in months before the deadline.
Call them
If I remember it correctly, we sent the IDOC with tracking.
It is your responsibility to follow up. Yes, it can cause your aid to be delayed or not issued at all. If there is a problem with your account, make sure it gets fixed.
I’ve spent the last few days reaching them and can’t get anything! They don’t respond to my emails and I’m on hold for half an hour. I’ve called other colleges to check if they’ve received them and they all have, so I have no idea what’s going on.
Put some earbuds on your phone…and call again…and stay ON the phone until you get a human.
I got a response and then the connection broke lets try again
Issue resolved
My daughter had two files at her school. It caused a big problem getting documents to the right file. You need to fix this.
