Urgent!: I may have destroyed my chances

I thought that I had sent everything into them before the deadline but I checked my status online and they said they I hadn't sent a copy of my permanent resident card which I could not find. But on the App I'm pretty sure I gave them by permanent resident number(dif from social security).Do you think it's going to be a very big problem for me,I'm gonna call them first thing monday morning

I'm talking about UT-Austin, sorry I just copy and pasted this thread for the sub forum.

Hmm, it shouldn't be a problem. I already got into a state school, and they're still waiting for my permanent resident card.

I'm faxing it. :D

If you're going to call them Monday, why are you asking for advice from us. Wait till Mon. and listen to the boss.

^^^
Because I'm in a state of deep worry and extremely depressed because their site says that everything should be turned in by feb 1st and I'd like to know whether or not I should ruin my weekend worrying or just forget about it.

why ruin a weekend worrying? take care of it monday.

The colleges always say that everything must be in by the deadline. Because of this, there are a lot of threads on CC from worried people about transcripts, GC recs and teacher recs not being in on time. The only things that really has to be in are the application and the application fee. After that, everything is in the mailroom and they spend a lot of time opening mail, filing stuff into folders, and updating their database. This is a little different because it is a green card, but it is the same thing. They are just following up. Don't worry about it.

Even if it isnt there
All colleges offere time in Feb to send it without penalty.

It happens. My GC filed her form for UChicago and sealed my transcripts in it. UChic got my transcripts and lost my School report form. I just asked my GC 2 fax the photocopy she had made....

Relax. The application deadline is not that important. They're not going to reject you for that if you get it in as soon as possible. Deadlines are actually extremely flexible for everything that's not the bare-minimum-open-an-application stuff. Think about how schools give everyone a chance to send in stuff that got lost in the mail.
