I applied early to columbia, and I am applying to 10+ other schools regular.
For Columbia, 3 recs were required:
1.) I asked the counselor, who mailed it out physically
2.) I asked my retired history teacher, who went back to my HS and gave it to my counselor, who then mailed it again
3.) I asked my prealc teacher, who did it through the Common App online
so…how am I supposed to get these people to send out their recs to my RD colleges? Does the counselor have copies of my history teacher’s recommendations so she can mail it out again if I ask, or do I have to contact my history teacher again? my history teacher responds late to emails, last time it took him a week to respond back haha
@camwow - if your counselor did not send the previous ones to common app, then you have to ask them to write all over again. This time, get them to send it to common app.
@camwow - if the pre-calc teacher already submitted on common app - if you login to your common app - you should see “submitted”. For the others, it should say “invited” or if they started on common app - it should say “started”.
All you do is to “assign” all the recommenders to every new school you apply to. There is no need for them to re-submit - if they have already submitted to CA.
Hope this makes sense.
