I've been wait-listed. How often do students on the wait-list get admitted? I applied to Groton for eighth grade.

I don’t really know. But I got admitted! If you somehow get excepted I would like to see you there. I’m in the 2nd form too.

Wow that’s great! So are you definitely going?

I’ve been trying to find this information, and I just can’t! I don’t understand, I even searched the Groton website, and I can’t find any info on the waitlist! Anyway, I’m wishing you all the best…I really hope you’ll get accepted.

Thanks synchroswimmer!

Hi,
waitlisted at Exeter ,andover, middlesex ,groton. how are the chances ?
99% overall SSat , Speciality is math ,art

I’m sorry to disappoint you but they may not be very good UNLESS you’re around the top 15-20 on the WL. This is due to the fact that if a school’s got 200 spots they offer admission to 250 and then place additional ppl on WL. But don’t be to disheartened if your name is high on the list since many ppl who got WLd at 1 school was accepted at others. There’s really no telling of your chances but don’t expect too much

I think you have an even chance of getting in at Groton but Exeter is slim. I was W/L at Andover but got into Taft and GA.

Plus schools, not to be mean, don’t have to take you because you have 99% on SSAT. So do like hundreds of other kids. What you want to do is send in things that show you have been active in the community and maybe even awards for things. That would push you up on the waiting list and the school would know you were applying there for them not because it was one of 10 you were trying at but dont care about. Those extra things will give you some backing.

I’m not very active in the community and I got into Groton. It will help but don’t give up hope if you’re not. :D

Im applying as a 2nd former this year, and I think that being minority and other things will help me get in. Just wondering but since you were waitlisted, groton141, did they let you in?

I got waitlisted last year too… Applying again this year! :)
