Urgent! please help me with scholarship interview ATTIRE!

Hi everyone:
I have a scholarship interview on friday (yes, tmw@@) and i need some advice on attire.

what they told me, was " Dress code: You should of course wear what makes you comfortable but we do recommend that your attire is appropriate for an interview (no jeans, t-shirts or sweatshirts, no gym shoes)."

I was thinking about wearing: white dress shirt+PINK v neck sweater + maybe a 2 buttoned jacket + black dress pants. i'm a girl in senior year of high school.

is this ok? especially the PINK v neck sweater part? i have no common sense arghh.... IS the color PINK allowed?

thanks!

help please! thanks!

Well in situations where you have to be dressy but appropriate, it's always good to dress conservative. What you said is probably fine though I get the feeling that you may not want to wear the jacket if it's really dressy. On the other side, you could go all out on the interview and wear a pants suit or a skirtsuit if you want to show how serious you are. But there's the chance that they might think you're overdressed.

But, I think your outfit sounds cute--and fine for the interview.

thanks!

so a safe combination for such interviews will be:

white shirt+jacket+pants?

i'm just asking because i might have to dress like that for another similar occasion

thanks!

Yes. That's VERY conservative. I get the feeling that they might think you're overdressed if you wear that sorta outfit... I think wearing your outfit from before with the jacket would work out fine. And you won't seem horribly overdressed.

thanks! =)

Go naked.
