Breathe. You have applied for financial aid, and there is paperwork associated with that. They are simply asking for that paperwork.

Look at the letter you received. Your ID number is probably on it. If not, call the admissions office and ask for your ID number.

No, you probably didn't have to file taxes. The non-filer statement is simply the form that non-filers (like you) fill out instead of faxing copies of their tax returns. Fill it out and send it in.

Dependent student worksheet: Same as above - fill it out and send it in.

They are asking for verification documentation. This is is asked for from a minimum of at least 30% of students at some schools (as required by the government) and up to 100% of students at others. It is normal and nothing you have done wrong. The Non filer statement is just that, a statement you fill out showing your income and that you were not required to file a tax return. The student verification worksheet is a worksheet verifying information you entered on FAFSA. It will ask several questions and will probably require copies of parent tax returns nd W2s etc. If they have not sent you the worksheet it is probably available on the school website. Go to financial aid and look for 'forms' or do a search on the school site for 'verification worksheet'.

You would need to check with them what ID number they are talking about. At my daughter's school once they are accepted they get an ID number which enables the student to set up an email account and to check the status of things such as financial aid online. If you do not know then call them.

By the way all the capitals are very annoying and quite unnecessary.

Calm down. Go into the school's financial aid website, and search for the Non-filers statement, or email/call and speak to a financial aid counselor (not the clerk that answers the phone.)

Based on what you state, you probably had no need to file a tax return, unless you want a refund of any federal tax withheld from your $500 earnings.

The IRS will not come for you. I assume you're a dependent on your parents tax return?

I have no idea of ID #. Were you assigned an applicant ID when you applied? An ID number from the Common App? Call and find out what they mean by ID #.

It's not a big deal, but delay may jeopardize or delay potential financial aid, so try and resolve it quickly.

There are financial aid professionals here that will be able to answer in greater depth.
