Some of the colleges I am applying to require SAT IIs others do not. I don't have a strong SAT (1760) but I've yet to take SAT Subject test either. I'm wondering if I should just keep my Low SAT and try to have high SAT IIs to send to some colleges or just retake the SAT and try to score higher (hopefully 1900+). The ACT isn't a likely option because the next testing date is in mid-February. I have a college board SAT fee waiver and I'm trying to decide whether or not to use it for SAT I or SATIIs.

Bump anyone?

SAT IIs are rarely required for schools where an 1800 falls within the 50th percentile. Unless you have already taken the SAT twice, I would retake the SAT, or try the ACT. .

I’ve taken it 3 times (improved on each test except for the last one I took). . . and I didn’t do so great on the ACT either. I’ve taken many practice test in the Official SAT Guide and scored well into the 1900s but when it comes to test day, my performance just isn’t to par. I was thinking about taking SAT II for maybe 1 or 2 reaches I am considering, but I’m not even sure it’s worth it.

I would focus on stellar applications at this point. The subject tests are best if you blow them away. I’m thinking less than a 650-700 doesn’t help that much. If you have a 4 or 5 on two subject tests that are similar ( like Calculus, or a science or a language), the it certainly could pay off.
