US Citizen living abroad.

Hello there i have applied early action to Georgia tech.I am an international student with first language Greek and with us citizenship.

My sat are 770M,530CR,510W ,i have a 4.0 GPA......Gatech does not accept TOEFL ,which is an exam for people with English as a second language. Gatech only accepts sat, which is tough for a guy with English not his primary language to achieve more than 600(from what i read in forums)....Do i have any chance for acceptance or my 'English' will destroy my chances.

I was also told by gatech's admission office that i will be evaluated as a US CItizen who lives abroad, what does it mean

“i will be evaluated as a US CItizen who lives abroad”

This means that you aren’t evaluated with the true international applicants. That is probably good news. Usually admissions standards are tougher for international applicants, and financial aid is much more limited for them.

As to whether or not your English is good enough, that is a question to ask the people at GA Tech. Take another look at their website. Does it indicate a minimum CR or W score for students who have not been in schools where English is the medium of instruction?

Good luck!
