Here are the SAT scores for the three flagship Universities in Florida:

The freshman class at the University of Florida have an aggregate SAT score of 1275- up from 1250 last year. Hopefully, we will hit 1300 this coming year. This still lags Miami by 10 points.

Thankfully the population actually declines for the first time for the high school class of 2010. This hopefully will ease demand pressures and make it easier for us current juniors to get in.
In fact, most analysts agreed 2008 will have been the most difficult year.

Not sure how you’re calculating this aggregate but according to this reference FSU’s Fall 2008 SAT average is 1265.

these are the official numbers from the collegeboard, as pr the link above:

I’m assuming that your reference above was a marketing ploy and was the accurate data early in the admissions process when FSU was doling out scholarship and honors money-before the bulk of the freshman class had actually committed. Just a guess though…

Tom, I’m having some trouble interpreting just exactly what the CB scores reported here represent. Can you clarify exactly what they mean?

FSU, unlike UF or UCF, is generally very upfront about score reporting as can be seen from this graph.

Nice to hear!

From what I understand we had about 28,000 applicants for the next upcoming class. It seems like we had alot of applicants with 1300+ on the SAT being dinged for admission for this last cycle. Also been hearing reports of some of these students getting into Ivy League School, but failing to be admitted into UF.

We also won the National Championship after the November 1st deadline, so it is highly probable that the class 2 years from now will be the best that the University of Florida has ever seen despite the state population remaining flat.
