First off, I am an active poster on cc. I have over 2000 posts combined, but I am using this username because I am honestly not in the mood to be spammed with requests/flamed.

Second off, I only have this information because my dad works for a IPMG company that works on the distribution of magazines and thus was already able to see the magazine. Due to distribution rules, he was not able to take pictures/bring it home/etc, but I asked if he could get me the top 25 universities, and he did so. I may be able to retrieve further information in the coming days. I know a good portion of you will not believe these rankings, but they are real, and I can not possibly provide any more evidence than I have. But, enjoy!

those seem reasonable. get the next 25 up asap

I assume this is fake, but…

lol @ brown

johns hopkins is not as good as any of the universities it is tied with.

Like I said, I automatically assume a lot of people will think these are fake, because I probably would too at first glance.

I don’t have any other college information besides that list for now, but like I said, I may in the future.

Also, believe me, I would NEVER put Hopkins that high, because I honestly think they deserve way lower :p

This is fake. Do not trust any source that is not from the official. No one will want to lose there jobs, if USNEWS investigates who leaked information, or even sued.

We NEVER get any leak a week early. Anyways there will be multiple other ‘leaks’ within the next week.

Last year I think we got an actual leak when the first physical magazine was leaked by a distributor like 2-3 days before release.

Do some research and you will realize that various US News rankings have been leaked in the past: the law school rankings recently and the national universities a couple years ago as well. There is no way anyone could get caught since literally thousands of people have had access to the same material.

@MK,

Brown stays the same this and last year, what is the laugh?

I believe it.

Gains

I know it hasnt moved much but when I think of Brown I think “ivy league” (and pot) but mostly ivy league, which is 8 schools, it is just strange to see brown at #16. Although I really never thought about all the other schools that are better.

Oh and I also don’t think princeton will take harvard’s spot. Just for pure shock value and name recognition, nothing tops harvard.

And Georgetown #23? I think they deserve better.

He did get 27 schools on the list; no red flag there. :p

I have asked “What happens if Harvard dropped to #3” before, and the answer I got was nothing. But now if I asked the same thing again, I am sure will get the big fuss here. While Brown stays the same even got laughed at.

“Oh and I also don’t think princeton will take harvard’s spot. Just for pure shock value and name recognition, nothing tops harvard.”

MK, I you look at the rankings for 2010 you will see that Princeton and Harvard are TIED for the top spot on the list. People overlook this fact way too often when they talk about Harvard and how it is “vastly superior” to every other school.

The only flaw that I see is that the tied #21 spot is not in ABC order. CMU would have been listed above UC Berkeley.

Also Dartmouth is listed as Dartmouth University, not Dartmouth College, which they always refer to themselves as.

Boom.

Haha, every year we have this “leaked Rank” and last year’s leak turned out to be wrong, but it sure makes things interesting.

MK82492, you and I busted this myth.

Everyone, please ignore this thread.

it’ still interesting. and maybe he just made a few small mistakes. OP- get 25-35 up.
