I am an American student looking to find some statistics on applying to U of T next year. Unfortunately, there is not much information on the internet to be searched. I have several questions:
What do U of T admissions officers look for in an american student? Are they the same as in the US?
Is it true that around 60% of applicants will get in? If not, what are the true acceptance rates?
I heard that admissions only cares about the 11th grade marks, is this true?
You might have better luck if you try the community on yconic, which is sort of the Canadian equivalent to CC.
U of T looks solely at grades for grades 11 and 12, plus your standardized test scores.
From their admissions website:
Grade 12 Diploma in an accredited high school with a high grade point average and SAT Reasoning/ACT exams and two SAT Subject Tests/APs/IBs (or a combination of SAT Subject Tests/APs/IBs covering two different subjects) Successful applicants have presented scores of at least 600 in each SAT component and at least 26 in the ACT with a score of at least 8 in Writing. Some programs require higher scores. Scores below 500 in any part of the SAT Reasoning or Subject Tests are not acceptable.
