USC 2009 transfer thread

Thanks GreNerd. :D

Maybe we can follow up pizza partyage with a toga party. Or streaking. Or both? haha.

I don't think one's activity on CC is factored into their admission decision.

I think what GreNerd meant is not that the acceptance:cc usage correlation is cc activity -> admission. He likely meant cc usage -> more involvement in one's education -> higher stats -> acceptance.

Jocelyne626, your geology teacher wouldn't happen to go by the name of Brian Wilbur would he?

Super down for the pizza party! Anybody else like anchovies?! Oh and grey, great explanation of what GreNerd meant! I think that he is right!

DontAsk DontTell: haha yeah it is! did you have him?

Ok so our NEW SCHEDULE IS THIS:

Pizza partyage
Toga party at my place.
Streaking and dipping in all the fountains at USC
Taking a group facebook pic with Tommy Trojan

Any more additions to our to do list?! :D

Jocelyne626, for sure I had him exactly a year ago in Spring of 2008. I see his antics haven't changed much haha. If you have any questions about his class either now or later during the semester, don't hesitate to ask me. I would also urge you not to drop it because Geo1 at 9am may seem painfully boring at first, but if you participate and jest with him and get on good terms with him it'll be a fun class after all and you'll end up with an A.

Zircushio, if I get into USC I will seriously be so excited that I would probably go streaking and do a nudie dip in the USC fountains.

CaptainRodeo- Only Seniors are allowed in the fountains before graduation. ;)

Awww! Well, I hope that I get the chance to bask in those waters haha.

haha... addition to the list: we pool some cash to pay for the bottle of johnny walker black label that I just broke like a complete idiot. :(

someone console me.

Seriously though, I'm truly hoping that we can all chill at the orientation in July. :)

lol the most wasted transfer class of 2009. :D i already see the headlines.

loving the pizza party... If only I could get in though...This waiting process is so ... urghhh >.<

USC's deadline is the earliest in all the schools I'm applying (and also gonna be the last decision letter I'll be receving)

DontAsk DontTell: haha yeah he seems chill, and i have him at 1245 (earliest class this semester! lol) so no way am I dropping his class. but thanks for the future help! haha

and yeah USC is going to kill me after this longgggg wait, I know I wont hear until July (well hopefully, because I don't want a flat out rejection in June)

Why would you not hear until July? Is it because you are a sophomore transfer? I thought we would at least find out by May

yeah Im a sophomore transfer

bit I know most people wont hear until June anyways, only few get to hear earlier (like April and such)

well, hopefully those of us that are transferring as juniors hear earlier than that, i seriously do not want to wait that long! i think i would rather just get an acceptance or rejection off the bat rather than having to send in spring grade requests and get strung along until july for a rejection.

Ahh I am so completely down to get a huge CC pic in front of Tommy Trojan and to get smashed on orientation weekend haha.
You Junior transfers are lucky! I'm going to envy you guys so much when you're on here boasting about your acceptances. I just want to pull great grades and get in already!

has the deadline for junior transfers applying come up? I never though about applying to USC but i guess i can do it for fun. anyone know?

GreNerd that sounds like a great idea.

NeplusUltra- the transfer deadline (there is no difference in regards to what year you are, credits are what matters) was February 2nd for USC. I doubt they accept late applications unless there is a really good reason.

We are reviewing your application. Sometimes we require additional information, so be sure to respond to any requests promptly. Transfer applicants are notified of their admission, or of a request for more information by June 1.
