I’m sorry if this has been asked already, but i’m planning on sending a letter of recommendation to Marshall (Freshman, Accounting Major). Since this is not a requirement, there is very little information about the letter and my professors wants to know where to send the letter and what is needed on the letter other than the recommendation portion (ie. ID #, USConnect username, etc.). I read i need to put in my I.D. #, but I don’t know where to find mine. Thanks.

@jhsocal, good to know! I have a few current ECs but one of my high school sports played a big role in my development so I was looking to include it as well.

@Horsecola - They just need to mention your usc id# which you can get when you login to the online application system (I think it is under profile information? just poke around and you’ll see it near where you enter your address and name). They then need to mail it to the office of undergraduate admissions.

crap, my professor didn’t put my USC ID on the letter. will they still accept it? it’s not like there’s antoher student with the same name as me applying from my school to USC with the same stats and stuff…

Did you guys just have the administrators at your schools mail in your official transcripts from your highschool’s and colleges directly to SC? or did you have them mail it to your house and submit them to sc in just a big folder?

i had my school just mail it to my house. and i will deliver it by hand on transfer day along with my LOR and HS transcript. the problem is that my cc sucks balls and won’t even send out the transcript until next wk. so iono if i’ll have it by feb 22 (transfer day)

this might’ve been address before, but can I just get a copy of my official HS transcript and college transcript and mail it together in a large folder?
i’m not sure of how to go about getting my college to mail it, and my HS was always late with documents.
also, I wouldn’t need to get any old SSR reports from HS or any letters from college (i heard something about a dean letter?)

@Purplenurple - your college should have a transcript page online instructing you on how to order official transcripts which you then specify to be mailed to other colleges or any address of your choosing. Many people here are either having them sent directly to usc undergraduate admissions or having them mailing to themselves so they can simply mail everything at once in a big envelope or hand deliver it like lakerforever24 is doing.

@lakerforever24 thanks man. i have 3 transcripts coming one from my current university, hs, and then cc that i took summer school classes at. So monday i will see how fast they could send my transcripts to either usc or my house

@holidays: the fafsa and css profile are both due feb 2nd, but u should do it asap just in case u dont know how to fill it out and u can have enough time to ask. ima do mine next wk. u don’t need to file ur taxes before completing the fafsa or css profile. u just need to estimate ur parents income and when u eventually file just send USC the tax returns

I am new to this year’s thread but was an avid commenter in last year’s amazing thread.
this is my ::gulp:: 3rd year applying but this year have a much better gpa and hoping for the best haha
majors: public policy and accounting

Whats up everyone? hope ur apps are going well

anyone know if its a good idea to apply (as a pre-med in the disease prevention major) with a significantly low gpa? like 3.0? its coming from a private 4 yr university and the main reason was a C+ in genchem ( a weed-out course) for premeds

howevever, i did work and volunteer close to 30 hours a week so will that give me any cushion for the lowish grades? im just wondering if its still worth applying, i am definitely busting my butt this QUARTER, so i have 2 more chances to get better grades before i reach the full 30 semester/45 quarter credits needed for them to not look at my high school records…

Sorry to interrupt the overall flow of the thread, but is anyone worried about the tuition?

I haven’t seen much posted about their scholarship offers or financial aid packages so I’m kind of on the edge in regards to paying for the tuition and all.

Has anyone–who has gone through more USC threads than I have–come across a significant number of scholarship cases to deem USC as a “financial aid/scholarship friendly” school?

We are all prospective transfers year and I haven’t seen much about the financial aspect of collegiate education.
