I just submitted my application to the Viterbi School of Engineering at USC, but I've heard about a 5 year Bachelor's/Master's program for engineering. How would I apply to that?

Direct the question to the school advisor?

Is that someone at USC I have to contact?

What do you think?

I suspect that you cannot apply directly into a BS/MS program and you can only apply after being admitted to the university (possibly even after studying x number of years).

I asked that because we have "advisors" at school, and I wasn't sure if he was referring to my school advisor/counselor or someone at USC.

Thanks for the reply.

at UCLA, the program ("departmental scholar") requires you to be at the top of the class, honors-eligible at least, and you have to be a junior or senior to be nominated.

dunno if it's the same for SC, but look around in the general catalog for the engineering school policies, programs, etc.

i happen to know everything about it. I got in the 4+1 thing. You applied for it in your jr yr. For class of 2008, the requirement to apply is min. 3.2 usc gpa. Not sure after class of 2009+, but I believe the GPA requirement will be higher. YOu should do inquiry to guys in viterbi admission office. But overall, I think USC's grad school is very easy to get into.
