According to last year, accepted people got an email at 5 PST. Denied people were notified after about a day…
Last year, thread shows 7 PM
The person received the email at 5, posted at 7.
Guys chill out seriously. Less than 10% of all appeals work anyway
even though less than 10% of appeals are successful, it would still be nice to have an answer. We all appealed in hopes of getting accepted, knowing it was a very small chance to get in. Even if your appeal is unsuccessful and USC is your dream school, don’t give up! theres always the chance to transfer as a sophomore

And for the second one, it was 5 minutes after they got off from work. I think one thing we all take for granted from living in America and its technology is that we expect everything to be instant. We expect to receive a text back once we send one to a friend. Right away. And I’ve lived without it (I have been in high school for 4 years without a cell phone).
So just seriously, chill out everyone.

@redwall1521 Your argument is right on point and I agree with you more than I disagree with you but this is a very stressful time with us all and we all deal with stress differently. College Confidential is a nice place to talk to people like yourself and vent and share thoughts and deal with the stress together. It’s okay to stress out and post such comments on here because that’s what it’s for, otherwise no one would post anything and it would have no purpose.

I came here earlier to see if anyone else had recieved anything, as I too had been waiting in anticipation. I actually made an account just to let you all know I got mine and that they were out in emails. Honestly not a t-r-o-l, sorry If I caused any concern.
@JThompson35 as you can probably tell, we’re all on edge, don’t take it too personally. But congrats for your successful appeal!!
@redwall1521 wow, you need to calm down. telling people that they have nothing better to do is just plain rude. People are worried/waiting because it might be their dream school. It is important to them. If it is not important to you, that’s fine. Just let everyone else wait as they please. No one is dissing you for being relaxed about it. So just please, let others do as they please.
@JThompson35 congratulations!! May I ask does your decision say “appeal” anywhere on the portal or is it just like “admissions decision notification”

I still dont have anything on the portal. i got an email with a letter and a some commitment deposit paperwork. That was the intended purpose of my comment, to let everyone know that it looks like they are notifying people by email. Hopefully you all get something soon, I was stressing all day!
