USC Appeals 2015

@srivapau can u post the acceptance

They would not send/ask or attach anything re a commitment deposit in an email, everything is done online at USC. The Enrollment deposit would appear on your you.usc account, again, not in an email. When someone posts the text from the letter and the exact time of what they received then start giving it some credibility. As @redwall1521 said, till then, beware.

I honestly don’t get it though… What does someone gain from pretending to get accepted…? :confused:

@mellyjune
It’s mostly just a boost in self esteem when other people say congratulations and the euphoria dies after a couple of minutes, so its essentially pointless. It’s like posting about something on Facebook or tweeting on Twitter, and every other social media

The only differences between real tweets/posts/comments on this thread and the t-r-o-l-l-s are that the real ones hold merit. For instance, it’s appropriate to tweet about a really exciting scientific discovery, and likewise, to post about an actual acceptance

If anyone gets a decision please post it so the rest of us don’t die of agony!!

I assure you that it is all sent in an email. The commitment paperwork very clearly says at the top that it can be submitted online at you.usc.edu, it just explains what needs to be sent in. I apologize for disclosing that results of my appeal as it has clearly undermined the intent of my original post, which was primarily to alert the visitors of this thread that the decisions were being sent via email, and that as of yet the portal hasn’t been updated.

Just got an email. It said they did not change their decision decision:( guess I’ll just transfer.

Congrats to all those who appealed successfully!

I was rejected but did everyone get their notice about transferring by studying abroad or community college?

Rejected.

Thank you for requesting a reconsideration of your application for admission to the University of Southern California. A committee of senior evaluators re-reviewed your file, and we considered the information you provided in your appeal statement.

Unfortunately, we did not change our decision. I trust you understand that we gave your case every possible consideration. The competition for admission was especially fierce this year, and we granted very few appeals.

Because you are important to the Trojan Family, I encourage you to speak with us about transfer planning. If you would like to pursue this option, visit you.usc.edu and select Trojan Transfer Plan to set up a personalized transfer counseling appointment this summer.

Also, space is still available in Paris, London, Rome or Switzerland at our international partner institutions if you would like to pursue the Trojan Transfer Plan in Europe (see below). Nearly 100 students will join us after spending their freshman year in Paris. See my April e-mail for the details or contact my office at admdir@usc.edu for more information. I expect 100 students who pursued this plan only one year ago will enroll at USC in 2015.

Legacy son’s appeal denied but he again got the TTP and TTP abroad info that was emailed in April (and in his letter of denial in March). Off to Michigan’s Ross School of Business. Very let down by USC.
