I am just so happy that I know where I want to go to school now.
USC is amazing! and I love it. I love everything about it, the academics, the athletics, and its location... sunny California baby! So Im just really happy now... and of course now I have my eyes set on it... and naturally want to do everything in my power to get accepted.

I am going to list my stats so I can see where i stand, and hopefully my chances are good??!!!

Also Id also like to ask what schools are most like USC... actually just mainly there campus. I love how the entire campus is gated, and its all compact like that. yet, with large quads still in there and the beautiful architecture. Wut schools have a similar campus and are similar to USC in many ways? Thanks!

Well heere are my stats and hopefully you can tell me if I have a chance.

If your school has pull there it's a match for you. Otherwise a slight reach.

Do the kids from your school who apply and get in have similar stats and the same caliber of ECs as you have?

Not much comes close to USC. Duke is about the closest. Enthusiasm counts for a lot with USC. I bet you'll get in. If you don't get in, you might consider Santa Clara University. The campus is a little different and the sports are not as good, but it's still an enthusiastic sports school, has a great alumni network, and the neighborhood is safer.

"sunny California baby!"

This is exactly what we talked about in this thread.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=359767&page=3

confused junior, California being sunny doesn't make USC the best school ever. It may be the best school you've got a shot at with your scores.
But if you knew enough about the campus, you would know how dangerous the surrounding area is. It's not exactly the "sunniest" neighborhood in LA. I've lived long enough to know about the notoriety of South LA. It's like the Harlem of LA.

"I love how the entire campus is gated, and its all compact like that. yet, with large quads still in there and the beautiful architecture. Wut schools have a similar campus and are similar to USC in many ways? Thanks!"

Well, in that aspect Columbia is similar to USC in that it's right below Harlem and it has to be gated to keep bad people out like USC's campus :) the campus is also compact just like USC's because neither school can afford to buy more land and expand their campus in big cities like LA or NY, but we have a do have a quad, sort of, and beautiful architecture.

But I cannot believe USC's campus impressed you. Clearly you need to check out more campus, UCLA's for starters.
