Mine hasn’t changed
@yingyang1998 Change from what to what?
@yingyang1998 Did you receive your letter today? Are you in Los Angeles?
@celegood What major did you apply to?
I mean there are still two tabs under Financial Aid & my application status hasn’t changed @kittymom1102
I didn’t get anything and I’m in Los Angeles!
@celegood congrats that’s huge! What school did you apply to?
Hey everyone, I just created a stats only thread. If anyone receives a letter, I (and the people on the USC forum) would greatly appreciate it if you took the time to fill in your stats. Thanks!
@kittymom1102 mine just says “application under review”. That’s what everyone’s says, right?
Financial aid tab is for need based aid.
What we’re all waiting for is merit. They aren’t the same thing. Once a student has submitted FAFSA/CSS their financial aid tab will update, but that has no correlation with if they get merit or not @chukrook
My S’s application doesn’t say anything. This the only info under the Application Tab:
Applying to USC
Check your application status
Submit application documents
Submit your mid-year grades
Withdraw your admission application
Find your admission counselor
Common Application
I don’t see anything along the lines of “under review.”
So I got in does this mean I got the scholarship?
Did your portal change? @LordBendtner
No scholarship info in letter does mean Dean’s, has last 5 years anyway. Last year portal was updated faster than previous years. It use to be almost 7 days after first letter received (like today), last year portal was updated Tuesday.
Also, a lot of Socal people didn’t get theirs till Monday. Virtually all Norcal people got theirs Monday as well. Quite a few midwest people in major metro areas (Chicago/Minn/St. Louis) reported Monday as well. But don’t be disappointed Monday afternoon, mail times vary greatly. Portal should update Tuesday anyway and end the stress nightmare. Good luck all! Been through this 3 times!
@LordBendtner It means that you are being considered for a scholarship, not that you have gotten one, but you are for sure in, Congrats!
Does USC like high achieving, low income students who utilized the best of their environment’s resources?
Everyones who applied before Dec 1st has already been considered for the sholarships. Acceptances in this round will include notification of the scholarship they are requested to interview for. If the student didnt find scholarship info, they did not qualify for any of the big scholarships (full/half tuition). They did get the Deans (1/4th tuition) which should come separate but later in the mail.
@kidfromseattle that seems like something most colleges would like
If you interview for a big scholarship but don’t get it, could they still offer you the deans?
I just got the packet this morning in the mail, and I live about an hour away from USC. It is almost like a box, and comes with a thick red folder! I am not sure whether I will try to interview for the presidential scholarship.
