*******USC Class of 2020 Results/Discussion Thread**********

@pterosprite I am also from VA, waiting to hear back from JMU & VT and obviously USC. Congrats on your acceptances.

@40yearoldvirgin thanks! Where are you from, if you don’t mind me asking?

I’m from the NOVA area! And how about you? @pterosprite

Around Richmond! I know a girl in NOVA who was already accepted and have one other classmate who applied, but I don’t hear much about USC here.

Nova here as well! And I agree people don’t really talk about USC here but most people think it’s a good school whenever I do happen to mention it

Do we have an exact decision release date?

Their twitter says that admissions decisions will be mailed out on march 23rd (priority mail) and their portal will be updated on the 26th. be on the look out for a large envelope soon!

Got into Davis & San Diego so far! I really look forward to USC, but I’m afraid that they won’t offer much FA if I get in :expressionless: that 52k tuition ain’t gonna pay itself…

why is tuition at USC so expensive? I get that it is a private school, but is it really worth paying that much for an undergraduate degree?

March 26th is less than two weeks away but I’m obviously going to be anxiously checking my portal daily starting next Monday

@collegecurious15 What can ya say, tuition is only going up yearly now. Though I believe that USC Village is a very big reason why the tuition increased this year. USC Village is a huge infrastructure project. Can’t deny that it looks amazing, but also can’t deny that it hurts my parents’ pockets too.

Anyone know what time decisions come out on the portal??

@stehyh yeah same! I got into those 2 as well but the money :frowning:

52k tuition for undergrad is not worth it, unless you have extremely wealthy (and generous) parents. They aren’t lowering tuition because there are plenty of students, believe it or not, who can afford to pay for USC without any scholarships.

@maytheforce I heard someone say midnight but I don’t know if there’s any legitimacy to that?? I really hope not, because I’m on EST, and I tell myself I wouldn’t be so obsessed that I’d stay up til 3AM, but I probably would.

@Nevets04 do you think it’s worth it if I get 1/2 scholarship due to National Merit?

@alphabetatrig Yeah, but I think your chosen major and future career plans should b taken into account too

@pterosprite, @maytheforce

Yes the portal may be updated at midnight on the day, at least it was last year.

When did you receive the letter? Congrats!

Do you mean you already got the decision letter for scholarship?
