@sadgurl it was a prank. a pretty funny one too @darkhound173
I’m struggling so hard to do any homework and studying! All I want to do is fast-forward time to opening a decision! Hate the wait. What’re the chances do you guys think, if I live like an hour away from USC that it could possibly come by tomorrow afternoon?
@ManhattanSubway I live about an hour away from USC too! If it was sent today, it will arrive tomorrow. If it will be sent tomorrow, then it will arrive on Thursday. Either way, the mail has to stay at the post office overnight for sorting and processing.
@ManhattanSubway unlikely, but possible I suppose. Just have a plan for after school tomorrow, to occupy yourself while you wait for Thursday. Find a project to throw yourself into, make plans with friends, voluntarily subject yourself to torture… Anything to occupy your mind.
I have a massive list of things to do.
Most of them are things I hate to do, but as long as I am focused on the hate, and not on the endless waiting.
@mjstewart1224 I have a softball game tomorrow and won’t be home until at least 5:30 or 6:00 since it’s far away, so i will definitely be occupied! Thanks for the advice and good luck!!! Let’s hope we can rip this band aid off by tomorrow
wow this thread is active! can friday come any sooner…
Guys , does USC automatically throw away sat scores below 1600?
I don’t think so
It’s holistic so although low test scores will lower your chances of admissions, if you’re well-rounded or are decent in everything else it wouldn’t be an instant rejection. Although USC, unlike the UCs, does place more emphasis on test scores instead of GPA.
@mjstewart1224 haha “voluntarily throw yourself into torture” I think we are already doing that right here, right now.
@Elphione I don’t think that’s true
@Elemelon wow… i am sorry to hear that as it seems like you have great stats! i don’t know how/why you didn’t get in to some of those schools but either way if you don’t get in USC you have 2 decent choices
I got wait listed at UCSB today also. I hope USC accepts me
@supbros111 if you dig up past threads they’ve discussed that UCs has a very strong emphasis on GPAs, compared to USC which is more holistic

@majesticmarmarr Hey! Don’t worry! Just email them tonight and maybe call them tomorrow morning! If you see it on your end, you have proof that it was submitted. It probably just wasn’t update.
@majesticmarmarr depending on when you submitted it, it can take a while to load into their system. It took a month for my FAFSA to actually get into the system for some reason, but as long as they can see the date you submitted it on, you’re good. So yeah don’t worry
I don’t know if this will make all of you hate me, but my dad’s friend’s friend who has sorta become our friend is an admissions officer and is gonna text my dad my admissions decision tomorrow sometime during the day so I can get it asap. I don’t know if this will end up being a good thing or a bad thing
@Zburg45 I am so jealous!! good luck
Some Socal people will receive theirs today (Wednesday). They went to post office late Tuesday - look for photo in morning, but the bins went out already.
I’m one of the many in this thread who lives an hour away from USC, already prepping myself for a rejection. It’s easier on my heart to be disappointed early on than be absolutely devastated. Again, sending good vibes to all of you, you all seem like bright, smart, funny people who I would love to be friends with if we all went to USC, haha. May the odds be in your favour
