@kasonp24, I believe about 700 apply to USC from GA and maybe 80 to 120 are accepted. Not sure how many matriculate but there will be an admitted students day in Atlanta mid April.
You can check here:

I’m bummed that Portland is 3rd day whereas some east coast cities are 2nd day. Seems so random
@oregonkiddo damn colorado is three days too. I guess we’ll figure out on the portal update
Anyone have any idea how many apply from Minnesota?
Why do ppl apply to usc when they dont even wanna go… theyre taking other peoples spots… spots for ppl who actually want to go
@jj1999, back ups to ivies and trophies? Just speculating since USC is a top choice here.
Don’t lose hope you 3 dayers - you may still get your mailbox moment. I doubt it will be day 3 for Portland or Colorado - that is the max it is suppose to take. These things really boogie when they get out there. Also it is helpful if they are loaded onto the trucks earlier in the day rather than late in the afternoon to catch the flights out in early evening or that night. I am amazed how many in Florida get it on day 2 - but much of the east coast is given priority it seems! You will see some in New York get it on day 2, but then someone just a borough over (a few blocks away) gets it day 3. Crazy and frustrating for sure.
For International Students your packages are sent via DHL but you also won’t be able to track them unless there’s a communications issue. I got a vague email inviting me to the ExploreUSC multicultural coffee hour in January, and I was hella confused. That same day I was CCed in an email between an admissions staff and a DHL staff about my contact info being unreachable and in the mail was the tracking number. I’m not sure if you can bank on this though, but that’s my experience.
ugh I am right on the 2/3 day line on the map. Trying not to get my hopes up because the probability of USC accepting me is super super low, but I can’t help but hope I get a white box.
Does anyone know how hard it is to get into the USC Sociology major? And how good of a chance do i have? I was admitted to UCLA’s College of Letters and Science for Sociology if that helps at all.
Ugh im freaking out for tomorrow…
When my D15 applied, we were 3 day territory but she refused to look at, or let us check, her portal. She wanted the big box moment, if she was going to be admitted. It worked out for her, and we will always cherish that experience. Get ready, Trojan Class of 2022, its coming! Best of luck to all and for those not admitted, know that there is a school waiting for you to shine!
Does doing the USC summer program help with your admissions decision. I did the program last year for International Relations and I also applied for that major. In addition, I’m a 4.6/3.98 gpa with a 1480 sat and really solid extracurriculars.
Adding on, my grandfather was a professor at USC and my mom earned her MBA there. My private college counselor told me that there is almost no way I won’t get in, but as the days get closer I am starting to worry more. Should I be confident with my legacy and with my summer program and do you think that I will get in?
Does anyone know if Dornsife accepts by major? If so, how competitive are human biology and health and human sciences majors? @WWWard @CADREAMIN
the video that was just posted on the admissions insta gave me soo much anxiety
Does anyone know when the packages will arrive for students living outside of the US?
@surferlifestyle I think you’ll have to wait for the portal update, but idk for sure.
DHL packages have been sent for internationals, no way to tell, some get them and post at same time as those in US, others are waiting for a while, count on portal update.
@ftfo2022, I like your chances! Of course nothing is guaranteed, but does the phrase “shoe in” mean anything to you?
@introtoxx, theoretically you could track a rejection letter via USPS, but I believe it was posted earlier that USC may wait a couple days before sending those out.
Oops tried to post Instagram link, didn’t realize it wasn’t allowed. I wonder how many are trying to freeze frame the video to see if they can see a name on any of those pages?
But I suggest checking out USC Admission’s Instagram - that’ll rev you up if you aren’t enough already.
