USC Class of 2022

Many of these kids are very proud of their stats and if they want to post them, they should certainly do so regardless of if anyone may or may not think they are relevant.

@CADREAMIN…have it already

Im in the 1 day zone and got the mail but no usc

@caleegalee and other NMFs just getting admitted

You will get the NMF Presidential information in another letter very soon. It does not usually come with initial packet. I think they came the first week of April (not by April 1). It still was in plenty of time to make final decisions.

To get it you must name USC with National Merit. You must do that first or USC doesn’t have the information they need. Need to do this by May 1st, and I think they get info before, but regardless, things aren’t processed till after the May 1st deadline anyway. So you can change up to then as well, from what I understand.

The letter you get from USC detailing the scholarship in the next couple of weeks (maybe even next week) and you will be required to sign and accept it. You will need to renew it with National Merit every year (very easy to do).

Anyone from Ventura county or San Fernando valley

@mangomermaid123 I doubt it. I think it just has to do with what time it was processed for your specific region. So, for example, the local post office that gets all your mail might have some sort of delay that would cause it to get to your house tomorrow. Or the post office just scanned it too late and it ended up going in the pile that will be mailed out tomorrow. You will for sure get something tomorrow

Got the white box in the mail this morning! I am from Toronto, Canada. Also applied for DEC 1 deadline if anyone is wondering.

@ep18 I really hope so. I live way up in the hollywood hills so sometimes mail gets there super late :frowning: but im just being realistic at this point doesn’t everyone else agree that I/other ppl that live in beverly hills or west hollywood shouldve gotten something if we were accepted?

@mangomermaid123 Yeah, we both probably should’ve gotten something today. But, again, I wouldn’t worry about it being a rejection. A few people in my class that live about 5-10 min away received rejection letters today, so I’m sure it just has to do with your local post office.

I just talked to USPS they say they aren’t delivering anything from USC today, does that definitely mean I’m rejected? I live in beverly hills/west hollywood area

Im in the 1 day zone but didnt get anything… should i expect a rejection…

@liluzivertical You win farthest acceptee today! (not sure if acceptee is a word, but it is now). Congrats!

DHL I assume. :slight_smile:

Although first poster about a package today was from Turkey and said he called DHL and they told him he had something coming from USC on Tuesday. Not in hand but on the way! @“God Help Us” was the first in hand at 9:48 this morning.

I applied as a transfer student to SDA at USC and live in culver city. i heard that transfer decisions will be made online on may 31st or get a request for spring grades. if you don’t get a request for spring grades is there any way to find out if you were admitted before may 31st?

I just talked to USPS they say they aren’t delivering anything from USC today, does that definitely mean I’m rejected? I live in beverly hills/west hollywood area? When should i be expecting a rejection letter?

@jj1999 You shouldn’t expect a rejection. It most likely has to do with what time it got to your local post office last night/this morning and what time your post office scanned it/sorted it.

@NorthernCali

Yes - that part (being proud of your accomplishments) is very understandable… and of course… anyone can do as they choose here on CC. But after 5 yrs of observing CC and reading tens of 1000s of posts, I have also seen the other side of things. The simple reality is that most (87% in this case) are rejected, not admitted… and some of those rejected may eventually post stats in disbelief (or even as a form of subtle retaliation) about how their perceived superiority in stats went unrewarded, etc.

And I get it. If you score a 36 on the ACT, you expect to get in everywhere. But 3K+ with test scores in the 99th percentile were rejected last year. I am willing to bet the same will be true this year. Likely more. 90% of all legacies will also face rejection in the next couple days.

Admitted or rejected… post at will, if you choose to… but just keep in mind that USC did not base their decision on just one or two elements of your application. So… if you choose to post, maybe try to go beyond just your uw GPA and test scores in your post. USC clearly went beyond such in evaluating you :slight_smile:

And there is a decision/stats thread specifically for that too…

Have they been delivered to the SF Bay Area in NorCal yet? I got my mail and nothing. But I don’t know what zone I am in.

@actorincollegeLA There is a super busy and helpful thread for transfers, I suggesting reposting that question here:

@ep18 didnt they come to the post office at the same time?

Accepted!! Palm Springs, CA. I actually saw the mail lady with the box in her hand and I yelled “Oh my god!” and started bawling my eyes out and she looked terrified.
