USC Class of 2022

Hi! Long time lurker of this thread. Didn’t receive anything today and I am in a 2 Day zone (Long Island, New York). Still hanging on to that last bit of hope. What caught me off guard though was an email I received from USC’s Financial Aid Office the day before they sent out decisions. It said I was missing some forms. I was thinking this could be a good sign of admission just because it was literally the day before they sent out decisions. Any ideas?

If you don’t mind, can anyone with the rejection letter post the numbers? Admits and percent accepted - they gave approximations, but curious what they use in the letter. Or someone will post the text of it after portal update. Appreciate your help.

Where are you in Atlanta?

I’m just curious - why do colleges offer a Spring option? Why can’t they just admit everyone in the fall? If numbers is the issue, how is admitting them in spring any different? I’m just curious because a lot of other schools offer a spring plan.

The acceptance rate is 13%…8200/64000

@CADREAMIN sounds like we have the same child. Thank you!

Accepted! My daughter will freak when she gets home and goes to the mailbox. Still in shock.

White box in New Orleans, LA! S18 admitted to Thornton for BM in Vocal Arts! We are in shock.

novahhhh, where are you in Atlanta?

PORTAL UPDATE
After midnight tonight, so Sunday morning Pacific Standard Time (PST). Last couple years they started updating between midnight and 1am - that’s when it starts and it takes awhile. many post within a couple hours, but it sputters along for several more hours - brutal for some.

@mom2bean You’re welcome. Most do mix things up or add minors or doubles. My senior daughter kept her major but added two minors. My freshman daughter was admitted Undeclared but has already internally transferred to her new major and added a minor. It is all easily workable once you decide on your path forward.

@uschopeful18 I got a similar email about 2 weeks ago but nothing was in my mail today in NJ… fingers are still crossed!!

@vistajay Wow! congrats!!!

@camcam2022 Wooohoooo she gets to have the moment - and you too!!!

Anyone in MA hear back?

@mombean Probably, mine is on track now for double major and two minors. Once the majors settled, now the minors keep changing, which will probably keep her from getting two minors cause she will run out of time! I expect the majors to re adjust again as a sophomore, who flppin knows??!! But good news is that is why you go to a school like USC, so you can figure yourself out and have the flexibility to explore.

S got in from Buffalo, NY on Friday. Sorrry if this question was already answered but when does the financial aid package come out.

I live in ga , about an hour and 15 minutes away from Atl ( I see that some people who live in the city have gotten their box) , and havent received anything. Does this mean rejection ? :frowning:

It says I still have some required financial information for USC I submitted my documents around 1.5 weeks ago and they still haven’t checked it yet. Does this mean I got rejected? is this a bad sign?

Arcadia:)

Mail just came in Miami Fl. No letter or package. Don’t know what to think???
