Housing portal opens later fyi so don’t stress that yet, but once it does, put down the non-reundable $55 (or something like that) fee ASAP to get your place in the housing queue. So if you think at all you maybe-might attend USC, put down the housing deposit. You don’t have to commit to do that. You just lose the fifty or so bucks if you don’t end up attending.
Received the package today admitting me into my dream school - so unbelievably happy! @CADREAMIN @WWWard I just wanted to thank yall for being so amazingly informative throughout this process. The next level of the Thornton mystery would be to know if these are performing majors and/or others like music industry. It seems (just a hypothesis) to be the performance applicants. But not enough data to figure out that one.
Such a disappointing way to get such big news though. Might as well make it a portal update in that case. I suppose it’s the 3 day Thornton seeing if it is there cause who could stand the wait any longer with all the buzz out there.

@WWWard , it looks like (at least in our case), the email requesting for additional info from FA yesterday (day 1 of decision mailing) was in fact an indicator that she is in.

Oh my god. DS had been rejected from UCLA and Northwestern. No package today and I was feeling sick to my stomach hurting for him (although he didn’t know about the package). Got a call from his mom–it was delivered to her house! So, so happy. I truly wish the best for all of you–such a stressful time. Thank you USC!

@CADREAMIN My son is a Thornton applicant and performance major. We received the informed delivery email and the USC package was clearly showing.
@Drogba Yes southside Chicago posted awhile back…but know that delivery to an area is not uniform that’s for sure!
IM SO stressed. I’m in OR so I don’t get package until Monday but I’m worried about portal. I’m legacy so my fingers are crossed
