Do the scholarships all come out at once or do they “trickle” out?
@pdxtigermom Ya a few others posted that as well, and a couple pm’d me over the weekend, woohoooo. So after all the posts of seeing it and several saying no it’s not…it wasn’t, lol. But it’s always fun to see how many look and are sure it is the box and it is a t-shirt or Amazon, lol. Mystery solved!

@CADREAMIN is there any way to appeal for USC’s financial aid? I know some schools match financial aid of rival schools and right now attending USC is a financially questionable choice given that I have a brother also attending college and other schools that are much less expensive.
Since they first said the 22nd, I wonder how many people got tired of checking portals for three days and left their computer to give their fingers a break. How exciting (hopefully) when they log back in!

@astute12 Last year the scholarship decisions came out the same day boxes were mailed for regular decision. The regular decisions/boxes first arrived the morning of the 23rd - the first scholarship update was the night before on the 22nd with some reporting emails with scholarship results that evening around 7pm, and portal updates starting a few hours later (4:00am) - the wee hours of the morning. (yes @marcie123 that was you up at 4:23 am posting, “check your portals!!!”) It did seem to be a slow roll out versus all at once, so perhaps some got them later, even the next day. Fortunately, or sadly (depending on how you see it) I have kept track of these little details for 9 years, and have already noted the times for this year in my little file. lol. Keeps me from online shopping. Ya, I need another hobby.
Congratulations to ALL Trustee, Presidential, and Deans recipients!! I stopped checking portal for the night and then my daughter came running into room with news after checking her email! Finally can stop checking over and over and over 
@17yeargap they should post there in next 24 hours - this is what happened last year, started emails at 7pm and portals updated at 4:23am to be exact if you want to set your alarm, ha. You got the email so you are good, in fact, you are great with that news! Congratulations!
Daughter got email—presidential in school of art. Feeling proud and relieved. Would there be any other communication this week about the total cost of tuition? I’m still a little unclear on how this works.

D got the Presidential scholarship email. I am guessing for being an NMF and USC as the first choice
Wow! Perfectly stated. I hope everybody reads this. Like two or three times. I would guess it’s applicable to not only to USC but most highly selective universities. My own student is bright, but it took a while to convince him of this. It’s just too easy and simple to get narrowly focused on a set of numbers and a checklist of sports/leadership activities.
