I am losing my mind! I live in rural Colorado where 3-day shipping is a hilarious myth. But can I count on a portal update tomorrow?

No, @Jtuell8 , in previous years there has never been a deferral letter in the mail, only on the portal

@apple349 Yes, major is considered.

Portals will update tomorrow, in the last 4 years this has happened just after midnight (so tonight). It was posted it would be tomorrow afternoon, but they have also said that every year and have updated earlier, after midnight. So we will see.

Thanks @CADREAMIN do you know if they future consider major in each college, like do they consider engineering college as a whole, or they will even give quota to different majors like CS, ME, etc.?

My guess is they look at talent overall within engineering and scholarships overall in engineering. If they have 5 mega talented kids in one of the concentrations, it is hard to imagine they would deny one just to give it to a less qualified applicant in another area. Also, as a side note, engineering kids tend to move around once in and realize what certain engineering areas really are and entail.

Does this mean that if you applied before Dec. 1st, and you don’t get a package that you just wait to see if you get accepted April 1st? Or do they specifically tell you that you’ve been rejected in the portal?

no rejections this week @SlimJim005. if you don’t get a package, you wait until end of march to hear whether you’ve been accepted or rejected
