USC Fall 08 transfers

does anyone know if i have to tell usc if i switch home schools? during the fall i was concurrently enrolled in elac and pcc (pcc was my main campus), but now i only attend elac. so do i have to tell usc or no since i listed elac on the transcripts..

As long as you listed both campuses on your app., no. They will be getting transcripts from both schools so it doesn't matter what terms you attend which school so long as you don't OMIT any schools.

yay, my oasis thing updated! they no longer think that i didn't send my transcripts!!!!

mine hasn't. hopefully it will soon tho.

Me neither... and I know they received by Feb 1 because I tracked the package... still says missing College Transcript Cover Sheet

K USC Admission is ridiculously unorganized haha. So my OASIS updates saying that I have nothing else to turn in....that's great. I get two letter in the past week saying that they still don't have the transcript cover sheet or whatever, but I know they have it because 1) OASIS updated and 2) the return receipt came back with a signature.

Yea, USC is really shot right now. I'm surprised that they're so unorganized. It seems like they would be prepared for the tremendous amount of applications and materials. It's kind of ridiculous that we're all left wondering if everything is okay with our applications. It's funny because if 90% of us are having these problems, thousands of others must as well. I just hope no one gets wrongfully denied because USC lost someones materials or misplaced anything. Cross your fingers!

Doubt it. I think they'd send letters making sure that you've submitted everything. They sent me some about Fin. Aid. so they're pretty good about that.

I submitted my Marshall a while ago, you will get an e-mail saying this when they have it:

Even though it says via fax, i submitted it by mail. Other friend got the same thing saying via fax, but also sent by mail

Ya I got the email to too saying they received it via fax, but I sent it by mail.

^^^ that's ridiculous.

..sent via fax.. "oh, we meant mail. sorry"

..you've been accepted.. "oh, we meant rejected. sorry"

nothing like that would seriously happen, i know. but it's just funny how we (or at least I) have this view of usc as being this beautiful, smooth-running nerd-factory, and then they go and biff something like wording. :)

Lol feuerwerke

beautiful hmm yea...
nerd-factory?
i wont be applying if it were a nerd factory >_>
more like think outside the box factory... then what do i know i m not even in the school ahahaha

yeah, you're right. MIT or caltech are more like your nerd factories.

it was my weak attempt to try and describe USC in a few words, with my limited knowledge n all.

Is there a deadline for the other financial aid documents? (like the custodial parent form, etc.)

I'm from L.A., believe, it's no nerd factory, but it's definately pleasant.
I think it's more of...
Lively/Social people+ L.A.+ reputable school/high ranking programs= USC
sigh. lol. I think we're in love though.

Just to be clear, a bunch of you guys also have your status as this: We have received your application, and it appears we need more information. Please ensure you have submitted all required items. Due to the high volume of application documents we receive, allow sufficient processing time.

But then on the list of required documents, there is nothing, where there was college transcripts before. Right?

Bill, I have that message too... but it still is asking for the "College Transcript Cover Sheet" - which was definitely received by the deadline.

i have some thing else:

We have received and are currently reviewing your application. We recommend you check here occasionally for an update on the status of your application.

^^^ that message means they have recieved ALL documents
