Honors World History and an American Presidency (Poli-Sci) course brought my GPA down, as well as a B+ in an honors religion course. None of those are really too revelvant to my major choices (Econ and/or math) so I hope they don't affect the Admissions decision. Do Junior Transfers generally find out before sophomore transfers? I applied to Claremont McKenna last year and was waitlisted until mid-July which was a major pain, I hope that kind of stuff doesn't happen with SC this year!

I don't think Junior Transfers get their decisions any sooner than the rest. You should get your decision in early-mid May. I doubt they will ask for your Spring grades, which would push it back to June or July.

THanks Burt, your stats look pretty damn good too, they probobly will ask for spring grades just to make sure you are legit, but it looks like it. May seems far away right now in Chicago March.

No problem. Thanks. Yeah, I'm almost sure they will ask for my Spring grades. If I get a 3.8-3.85 GPA this semester or above I say I get in, but I will be pretty upset if i don't get a 4.0, cause then I'll be real nervous.

Wait, Burton Boarder, why would they ask for your grades?
Oh I see, you only have 14 credits... :o. Yeah, I agree but you have a great chance nonetheless given your GPA. I have the exact same one btw, lol so when I saw your stats I'm like woah competition, ;)

Haha...cool...like your member name btw lol

what year are you..a brief synopsis of your stats?

has anyone gotten a midyear report request in the mail? or is that just for freshman applicants?

i haven't...the last thing i got in the mail was a student information correction form...to make sure my address, phone number, etc. were right that they had on file...got that yesterday

thanks burtonboarder, I'm in my last semester at a Calfornia Comm College.
GPA-3.91 in 50+ish units. Currently taking 16 units for Spring.
Applying to-Annenberg as Jr. transfer
Major-Communications

scarletstar89- the last thing I got was a reminder to fax in my parents tax forms... which I have yet to do -_-

oh okay... thanks guys :] well if anyone gets any kind of request, let us know!! june is so far away... :[

should hear by May 15th or so. They say "by Jun. 1st" and June 1st is a Sunday. anyways.

and for those applying to Viterbi Engineering, we may even hear sooner. They say that if you filled out the supplemental application, they will inform by April 1. Anyone else out there on CC applying to USC Engineering besides me?

p.s.Just reading back on the board here, it seems as if USC sends letters in waves according to geography. :P I'm hoping that means I get to know sooner???!

BY June 1st sure... does anyone know what the earliest date is? [i'm anxious & would like to know what my options about my backup are here]

well i don't think that if you did the supplemental for just the regular school of letters that you get your decision any sooner, at least it doesn't say it on the website or any other usc literature i've read.

they will probably start mailing them out May 1st-May 5th, but there's no way to really know unless you have a usc admission connect, or maybe you can ask the admission office...i'll try that this week...see if they say anything...

Woman of Troy...I don't think that they would send it out geographically...doesnt seem like admissions offices do the distribution too systematically. For instance, they wouldn't send out the admits together, the rejects together, and the spring grades together; they just don't operate like that. Most likely all letters will be sent out roughly the same time, with the only anomales being extinuating circumstances with the materials required for admission, etc. However, the distribution will have a geographic pattern in that people on the East Coast will probably receive their letters approximately 5 days or so later than people on the West Coast.

That's what I meant, I read the board from last year and it seems as if the people on CC got their requests/acceptances at different dates. I agree, I bet if we try asking any number of times, a rep is bound to comment about it. :)

woman of troy, i'm too lazy to look it up, but off the top of your head do you know what is (if any) the deadline for the tax info to be sent?

april 15th would be a rather appropriate date...

deadline to send to usc? to be exact..
