does this mean im not in?

how do you even know if you're still in pre-lim? meh i guess this doesn't mean anything at all. i just wanted to see if anyone's was a MARCH date.

Sent apps in Nov. and still waiting for my status page to change.

College of Canyons? Were you at the Phi Theta Kappa regional conference in Santa Ana?

My status just changed on 3/4/2008 to the "currently reviewing" one. I'm applying to Viterbi, which supposedly notifies sooner than the other schools, but I think the reason my status changed so late is because I handed in my application so close to the deadline and for like the last month I was stuck in the "we are missing documents" status. Idk, I really hope to hear soon.

I recently spoke with an admissions rep. and he said that it looks like they're gonna SEND the decisions starting on June 1st. That's insane. I've heard too many conflicting dates from their reps concerning transfer students.

and I have yet to fax in my tax info. my parents did it so late. :P ;/

chasetrojan- that is concerning but I agree with you on the conflicting stuff. I think June 1st released decisions are for people that are going to be asked for spring grades though. I think mid-may sounds right and logical for them to do so.

I just went to actually see USC yesterday and I loved it. if I get in in June or May or wherever...decision making will be hard.

coming from nyu, I was really tempted to just layout in the grass instead of following the tour.

Yeah the mini parks are so pretty. The architecture cute and so right. =) sigh

so viterbi students should know by april 1st right ?

Apparently.

Question: How come my status on Oasis never changes? it's been a while that I have send my transcripts and it still say it's missing? should I just ignore it?

Don't worry. The system is apparently behind. My stuff has been in for weeks, and Oasis still hasn't changed.

crazykumar, i spoke to a Viterbi Transfer Counselor a few days back and they said that they would not necessarily release a decision by April 1, but rather they would send a letter "informing of our status" by then. If you read carefully they actually do say that on their website, and the transfer counselor confirmed this by saying that a decision would not necessarily be reached by then. The "informing of our status" is pretty stupid considering that we could just check out status online anyway. However, since they are apparently so backed up this year, it seems unlikely they would reach a decision for Transfer Applicants (who are second priority) by April 1.

It kind of sucks to have to wait a long time, but I guess everyone else has to do it. We still may find out about our decision before everyone else, because that was the case last year according to last years threads. FYI, according to a quick scan I did, Viterbi Applicants began receiving their acceptances during the first and second weeks in April. We too may begin to hear then, after all the freshman decision have been sent out.

The "College Transcripts Cover Sheet" came back up on S's Admissions Checklist. I think this means the request for Spring Grades is coming.

Torrancecali are you sure yours did not go away and now it's back?

do you think that not having many ec's can hurt me when i have a 4.0 with only 15.3 units done? (i'll have 30 something units after spring though..)

Hey everyone.... of course I've been off being paranoid and checking the admissions trends from past years posted on CC here.

Seems like the first people to be told of an admissions decisions [besides engineers] are the people that have fulfilled the GE and English, Math and their major prep. So if this includes you or us or whatever, then you should be finding out even as early as mid april thru mid-may given there is no borderline in these cases.

p.s. Of course, this has me insanely excited. Though I am currently finishing one core requirement course, you think they'd ask for spring grades? Or look at the trend of my other work and make a decision? I don't really think it's a big deal since I've done great and had a 4.0 in terms of trasferable work/core reqs.

In summation... I want to know early! =D

mmck,

YES!~

"cover sheet" appeared again so i faxed it again...
but having that poped up again, is it a good sign? or should i not get too excited...?
