i checked again and the tax forms i sent USC are in both the REQUIRED (not received) AND the PENDING (received, but not reviewed) lists. yep, i'm pretty positive that i'm not the dumb one, now.

so excuse me while i go make another trip to the fax machine.....

It's weird because every year this kind of "losing" transcripts and documents happens and it causes decisions to come out later for some students. Sucks.

we're just talking finaid, right? not main admissions? because i had to send a new transcript because i won a grade appeal and it brought my GPA up .24 (3.21 to 3.45) and now i'm worried they never got it. i sent them an email when it could've been in processing and now i'm going to have to email them again to make sure!

Last time I faxed stuff in, it took several weeks for it to move from "Pending" to "Received". I'm faxing in my last (thank goodness) financial aid form tomorrow, I hope nothing gets messed up. I'm glad my BF has a fax machine. :)

I wonder how long it'll take for them to review the faxed taxes. It's the last thing I needed to turn in so I can kind of breathe easy after its processed, I guess.

I've got a question. First semester, I had a 3.8 GPA. But this semester, it look like I'm gonna be pulling around a 3.0(at worst)-3.5(at best). How bad will this drop hurt my chances? What about considering I'm at a Top 20 school right now? BTW, I would be transferring as a sophomore, and I applied to college of letters and arts.

Halfbreed, I think for CLAS you're in pretty good shape anywhere from a 3.3-3.5 this semester. You obviously have pretty good highschool stats if you're going to a top 20 school right now anyway. But I'm not sure how important your current school ranking is to USC. I think they have 3 catagories, and that is CC/ 4-year universities/ and then really prestegious ivy-type schools. Maybe you are in that top tier. This is just what I've come to after the transfer days program at SC in November so actually I don't really know much

I just got the email saying they received the forms I faxed. After OASIS says that they have them, I'll stop worrying about USC until May.

I'm also applying to UNC and NYU, and their notification dates are mid April and mid May, but their application deadlines were a month and two months after USC. I don't know why USC wanted us to get those applications in so early. Well I still have to work on my NYU app. Can't wait to get that over with.

Well, keep in mind I'm saying that a 3.3-3.5 this semester would be pretty good because it would make your cumulative somewhere in the 3.5-3.6 range. but that's nitpicky anyway, I think you're in.

I just received an email from USC Fin. Aid office and they now need my parents' and mom's W2 forms. I faxed my mom's W2 forms with her tax returns already, but I used the the tax return cover sheet and it's still pending. Should i fax the W2 forms separately with the correct cover sheet?

man, everyone has such competitive GPAs, i hope my 3.45 (which should go up to a 3.51-3.6 after this semester) will get me in! ahhhhh
(school of theatre, if you're reading this...wanna override my first choice major that's in CLAS?)

so... when i applied to marshall, i just listed business administration as my first choice of major and left my second choice blank. I really dont want to do anything other than business.. but now im starting to get worried.. will this have a negative impact on my admission??

Also, once the admission decision is made, does it tell you on oasis if you have been admitted or not before the letter is mailed out??
