USC Financial Aid Statements

So I haven't gotten my financial aid package yet, and I was wondering if there were other people in the same boat. When does the package come out? Waiting for this financial aid is a killer!

I'm pretty sure they come out on or around April 1st.

It was the end of the first week of April last year.

I know the ivys and Stanford are trying to do away with big loan offers but what about USC? Is their finanacial aid mostly in the form of loans? Our EFC is $14,000 but my income is being cut by 20% and husband is retired. After medical expenses we would have to take out loans to cover just the EFC. If the balance of aid offered by USC is also loans that will be an enormous challange. Any current students or parents who can give any insight into the type of aid usually offered? Thanks.

Rosieoney: I hope you let the financial aid office know your income is being cut by 20%, especially if it happened after you filed the CSS/PROFILE. Our EFC is the same as yours. My son is waiting to hear from USC on financial aid. He was also accepted to Syracuse which has about the same cost of attendance as USC. We are expecting USC to be similar or better than Syracuse. Syracuse's aid package only included $5,500 in loans. I would be surprised if it was much more. That is also the max for Stafford Loans.
