According to these threads you get an email with instructions how to get season tickets. There is no lottery for home games, but it is first-come-first-serve. The games are at the LA coliseum, which explains the abundance of seating.

S (returning student) just called me about this today and bought tickets online-

2008 Student Season Football Ticket Information
The DEADLINE for RETURNING students to purchase a student season ticket is May 16, 2008.
USC Ticket Office - Rose Bowl Information

New incoming Undergraduate and Graduate Students will be sent an email in Mid-June with ordering information.

Is there a limit of how many tickets you can purchase? I know my neighbor goes nuts about USC football eventhough her husband went to UCLA.

Students can only buy one for themselves and one for a spouse, but they have to send proof of marriage.

There are no additional season tickets available. The USC ticket office has not taken apps for new season tickets for the last three years. You can only find out about buying tickets through the ticket office by getting on their VictorEmail mailing list-
usctrojans.com - Support Groups

Most people tend to buy tickets from exchange services like Stub Hub-
Buy and Sell USC Trojans Tickets at StubHub!

Or there are ticket agencies where you pay an arm and a leg...

Just in case anyone was waiting, check your USC email. My daughter got her email and PIN today and was able to purchase her '08 Football season ticket.

My son is overseas traveling this summer. His e-mail account is private. Any suggestions how to order him seasons tickets and get a ticket for the parent?
Do you think the USC office for parents will be able to help?

^^^If your s has internet access, he should go to his usc email account and follow directions to buy his football season tickets. He'll get a link he can click through to purchase them. He will need to register at the online USC sports ticket site using a PIN # found in that email sent yesterday. He'll also need a credit card number (and security number) to pay the $145 fee.

If this is impossible for him, perhaps he can give you the password to his USC email account until he gets back home so you can handle this transaction--then he can change his password later if he wishes.

It is a headache. We did not give our son a credit card--just cash and traveler's checks. The group is traveling to some remote places this week. It will be at least a week before getting to a major city where they will be staying at a youth hostel (which should, not guaranteed, have a computer to use). I am going to the post office to mail a letter to the youth hostel and hope he receives it. I can always contact the travel group's headquarters in NY--but this really does not seem to be an emergency. Do you think USC can save him a ticket until he gets back July 31 or will all the student seats be sold? I thought of calling USC and try to see if they can hold a seat for my son until he returns. And who should I call at USC?

Well, my D is also out of town. She forwarded to email to me since she doesn't have a credit card, and I tried to purchase it for her. Our problem however is that the email didn't supply the PIN #, just an empty space, and then the USC ID #. I will call USC today I guess.

mdcissp, would it be possible to buy a ticket on your own and then somehow transfer it to your son later? Or are particular tickets reserved only for students?

mdcissp, does your son or the group leader have a cell phone? Perhaps it would be easiest if you make a quick call (or text?) asking for his USC email password. That's all you need to take it from there and order the season tickets.

On another note, you can call USC Ticket office • Student Union Building 100 • Phone: (213) 740-GOSC and find out how time sensitive this order situation is. Your s may be home before the deadline to guarantee tickets.

Here is exactly what it says on the ticket website:

btw, mdcissp, no tickets are available to parents through their students, with the exception of parents weekend. You have to buy all other Trojan game tickets separately.

My daughter got two emails the second contained the PIN.

deleted...too slow

^^^x-posted, cc411! The deadline is August 15, so does that mean tickets are guaranteed to all students who respond by that date?

I received two emails with the second one containing the pin.

Oh thanks for the info regarding the two emails Dad and War Chant. Hopefully the second one will be sent soon.

Madbean--thanks so much for the info. especially the deadline of Aug. 15. I wrote to my son and let him know that he should contact us about the football tickets. I have the phone number in NY which is only to be used for true emergencies. The group is far from any major city now. We will have to wait until he either finds a computer in the next major city or buys a short term international cell phone. Your kindness and thoughtfulness are greatly appreciated.

Parents ticket can be purchased after July 1.

I meant to ask if anybody has any information about Picnic ticket for parents. What is that?
Also if you are travelling July 1, you can call (213)740-6775 for parents ticket.

I haven't received any emails with a pin # for football tickets. It's your USC student email account, right? anyone else?
