USC Graduate Engineering Grades... are bad... what should I do?

I just got all of my grades for my 1st semester at USC graduate engineering... and they aren't pretty. I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I need help and so far the offices aren't really helping cuz they're busy:

I have one grade that's below a 2.0, I read that no credit will be given, does this mean I have to retake the class or what happens? Does my new grade replace the old one or do I need to take an extra class to fit the 27 units?

My GPA has dropped below 3.0 and I was conditionally admitted, does this mean I am to be removed or just in academic probation?

I'm worried about my GPA and prospective jobs that I possibly cannot apply to because of this. I know... I'm a grad student, how did I let this happen? A combination of mishaps this semester that I seriously couldn't control (but no one buys that right?)

Thank you so much for anyone that can help me out of this!
