USC Marshall Transfers....

I heard it's pretty tough to get into Marshall school of Business.

I have a 3.9 GPA and I'm tryin to transfer after 2 yrs at a CCC into the Business Administration Major. Is that enough? My brother goes there to (I don't know if that matters or not)

It’s been getting more competitive in the last few years as a transfer but you should be fine as long as you have good essays.

glennryan. LOL. that’s all im going to say.

damn weezy, I didn’t think you’d see this post…i’m embarrassed.

…good essays? Do you mean a good essay - there’s only one…

Marshall is pretty tough to get in but your 3.9 GPA seems well above the average admit GPA of 3.8 for USC Marshall admits. But the more than 2 years at your CC might hurt you if you’ve taken a lot of units.

Hey guys,

Quick question. If I apply to USC Marshall with a 4.0 GPA with all pre-reqs finished except for Calculus (which will be finished in the Spring), would that affect my chances at admission?

you guys make me look bad.

@MartinSMC: If that’s prereq, they’ll send you email/mail to request the grade of Spring Semester before making decision. My friend had that situation, she took “Critical Thinking, Writing and Reasoning” in the last Spring semester.

It’s true that a good GPA can’t guarantee your admission to USC. Make sure you have decent essays and ECs. Also, I think a fantastic recommendation letter will help, too :)

Wow, it seems that everyone applying to USC Marshall has amazing stats. I’m nervous now :frowning: :frowning: :(

And I have a question too: (all the classes that I mention here are USC classes)
MATH118 is a prereq for Marshall, but in the agreement with my college, USC says that MATH125 can be a replacement for MATH 118. However, I took AP Calculus AB in high school and got a 5, so I got waived for MATH125 at my CC, and I took MATH126 for a letter grade at my CC (which is the second semester of Calculus, higher than MATH125). Am I ok with a higher math class than required? Or do I need to have to take MATH125 for a letter grade, no exception?

no, you’re fine with a high math-

Oh, Thanks Glenn, I’m so relieved   :)

hey, anyone applied to Marshall has seen your status changed? I know someone in the USC thread already heard (L&E, not Marshall). Mine hasn’t changed since 4/15 :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: worriedddddddd like hell!!!

mine hasn’t changed since 4/10…

My status hasn’t changed since 3/04…I’m not actually that worried though. I haven’t checked through past threads so does the status mean a lot when it comes to admissions?

I don’t think it means anything except that they haven’t gotten to yours yet…but who knows-

but if you’re notified this EARLY, it can’t be bad news, can it??? Anw, I still hope to hear early, no matter if it’s acceptance/rejection, just to get it out of the way!!!
