Same…idk what my USC netID is to register

It took a few days for me, but you’ll definitely know when you get it. It’s pretty specific and gives you all the steps.

The financial aid is making me nervous…
i’m submitted my deposit for USC just now so i basically committed without knowing how much i’m going to get in aid. The damn financial aid office wants more stuff from me & it’s so confusing
I’m also committed to Cal Poly & i don’t wanna make any rash decisions and call them to cancel my commitment cuz USC might end up not being affordable :(

sucks being poor man…

@fdominguez alright cool!! So is mine. Crossing my fingers and hoping I get a similar award.

How do i check EFC?

@fdominguez They said that it takes a few days

004190 is my EFC

Where is everyone living?

I applied listed regal trojan, century, cardinal gardens, troy east, and troy hall as my preferences but i got assigned to annenberg…

BTW, where my fellow marshall students at?

@sielburt I want to go to that one because I won’t have time for the winter orientation.

@fdominguez Is that what your FAFSA calculated or what USC put in your FA package?

@MateoY I’m in the exact same boat as you haha. Marshall living in Annenberg

Notes to those of you waiting for your financial aid information:

-You do NOT have to commit to receive your aid package.
-You do NOT have to commit before you receive your financial aid information. If you have not yet received your financial aid package, email your admissions counselor to say you are very interested in USC but MUST know how much aid you will receive before committing. An extension WILL be granted, but it always best to get it in writing (via email) for your own peace of mind.
-Your FAFSA EFC is ONLY used to distribute federal aid including Stafford & Perkins loans, Federal work/study and Pell grants, which at absolute most will total about $12,000. USC will use the CSS/Profile and their own formula to distribute USC grants (the BIG component of USC aid), and USC considers assets the FAFSA does not, including home equity. Therefore your expected contribution at USC may differ from your FAFSA EFC (and by “differ,” I mean it will likely be more…).

Roy - do not withdraw from Cal Poly until you receive your USC aid (and if you haven’t submitted your USC deposit, email your admissions counselor for an extension). If you are unsure of what to submit, I recommend an email to financial aid asking for clarification. Your FAFSA EFC is on your confirmation from FAFSA (the page that appeared when you submitted) and can be accessed by logging back into FAFSA, but again, that ONLY applies to Federal aid, not USC grants. *BTW CONGRATS on Cal Poly! Two nice admits :)

Is anyone a spring admit looking for a roommate(s)? I’m a male willing to live on or near campus !!

@rjl757 I’ll be living in Annenberg as well. What’s wrong with it? I think it looks fine, although it’s a little far from campus.

@greengecko I actually think it’s pretty nice. There’s a bus stop right in front of the house so I’ll probably just take that to campus

@rjl757 I’m kind of worried about sharing 1 bathroom between 3 other people… what kind of room did you get assigned to?

2 bedroom 4 person @MateoY

I thought the crazy wait was over, but now I’m going crazy waiting for my financial aid because I can’t commit until I see it. AAAAARGH! It never ends!

question, so I am a sophomore transfer but I am not at sophomore standing so technically I’m a freshman. Given that, do I apply for transfer undergrad housing or freshman housing?
