USC or BU?

im really stuck, guys! any words of advice? what i love about SC is that its in a great location for what i wanna do (communications and music industry), but i feel like i want something new and exciting - i live in norcal, so LA really isnt THAT far away. i dunno, i just always had it in my mind that going to college should be a crazy, scary time - i'm just not feeling that with SC...then, theres BU - not as good of a school, but it has the excitement factor i have always wanted - going to the other side of the country, knowing nobody! i love the idea of just being able to jump on a train and go to an art gallery...i just feel that SC would hold me back from the life ive always wanted...but then again, its USC! i'd be a fool to turn it down...wouldnt I?

there are i think 3 museums directly adjacent to USC, have you visited yet? i live in LA and know USC is gonna be very different from what i'm used to. i only know maybe 3-4 people going there for the 2600 in the freshman class. if you want to go into communications/music industry you will find no better resources/location than LA, especially compared to boston.

LA is very different from NorCal. BU is different weather wise. It also does not have a campus like USC unless you think of Common Wealth Blvd as your campus. However, Boston is an exciting city for a student. But can you take 5 months of winter without sunshine? The weather can be a drag after a while.

ya ya ya im totally fine with nasty weather - i lived in the UK for 11 years! haha! but im gonna go visit both campuses next week (its gonna be tiring), so hopefully that will help me make up my mind!!!

I grew up in Norcal, and I was also accepted to BU when I was applying to colleges.

Southern California is very very different from Norcal (IMO) and USC is SUCH a fun school so I don't think going to BU for the reasons you listed is a wise choice. Of course, if there are some other intervening factors, then BU might be a better choice, but for the reasons you listed it's USC all the way.
