I just got rejected to USC and its my dream school

at the bottom of the letter it said something about a transfer plan and how i could meet in the month of june to make a transfer plan with some schedulers .... its said something abotu a special group getting this opportunity

did anyone else get this message?
Did everyone get this?

Are you a legacy?

That seems to be a trend amongst people getting these letters.

no i am not legacy but my stats are all close to usc’s

do you know if everyone gets that messege or is it a special group???

i cant imagine they give them to everyone or alot of people because they only dedicate one week out of the summer to make the appoitments

From what I’ve read, it isn’t a standard message.

Edit: So yes, it’s only a special group.

alright thanks a ton

Should i email admissions and see if i can get waitlisted for spring admission or “appeal”?

I am going to go to the meetings for transfer opportunity but i was wondering if i should ask if there was anyway i could take the spots for spring admits that go into fall?

There’s no harm in trying. I don’t know much about the appeal process but if it turns out that I have to, I will as well.

I’d say go for it. Especially since you know they want you, maybe there wasn’t enough space in the Fall or Spring class.

wakekid: My D also had the transfer message at the bottom of her rejection letter. I was wondering the same thing as you if it was standard, but I guess it would be too much to have 30k plus receiving the same message lol.

hopefulgraduate: Where have you read that it isn’t a standard message? I’ve tried searching recent threads but couldn’t find anything. Link please?

This is offered to every legacy that applies and is rejected. It is the one consideration admissions gives to legacy candidates.

Thank you hopeful and uscalum, that makes sense. I’ll be sure to have D make her appt. as soon as she can.

do you know anything about this a contract transfer agreeement?
Could i still go to a four year college and transfer?
or would i have to go to a jc or state college and then transfer?
Thanks
