@muzckl1 are you east or west coast? Thanks.
@muzckl1 sounds like congrats may be in order.
I’m in California, about an hour north of USC.
We aren’t getting our hopes up though because she got in to the Theatre Dept. at Pepperdine with scholarship and everything, and then the university waitlisted her! So not counting on anything until it’s in writing.
@muzckl1, what?
You mean Pepperdine awarded your DD scholarship but waitlisted her. That is mess up. How does that work?
My friend has a similar situation: accepted to program but not to university. What’s unique about USC is that their BFA is evaluated almost entirely by audition. At Pepperdine, I guess it’s all or nothing (or waitlist, which is still really impressive!!)
I don’t understand the Pepperdine thing at all…but whatever. Got the USC package later in the afternoon! She got into the BFA program!
@muzckl1, congrats!
What was your daughters audition experience like ?
@muzckl1 congrats!! Do you know how many they accept? I assume it’s extremely competitive (similar to BFA MT programs)?

Daughter got the Open House postcard today… But no package…
@lovemyfamily , I bet the package will be there soon. It seems they tried to time the postcard and the packages to arrive at the same time this year. The postcard probably happen to beat the package in your daugther’s case.
@RALdad thank you–it does look like it’s right up there with the most competitive BFA programs!
My daughter received acceptance letter for spring semester 2017 at USC today. She was planning on starting college in fall. Anyone else have info on chances of being admitted to fall if you send in letter of intent.
